Abstract Floral Painting
Spring Already’ is a new painting from the series ‘Not Just Flowers’ where the artist uses seemingly abstract strokes and marks that give a suggestion of blooming flowers. She uses shades of pink, orange, violet and yellow inspired by the hues of spring. Acrylic paints have been applied using brushes, palette knives and fingers to create layers of texture on a base of flat colors.
There are lots of smears, rough edges, spontaneous strokes and shapes composed intuitively that feel raw and expressive. The artist is trying to set herself free by letting go of her thoughts and emotions bottled up since a long time, giving them alluring shades and embracing the beauty in chaos. Spring is a special time for the artist as it brings back many painful memories which she tries to let go off by expressing her emotions through colors and embracing the beauty of her present life.
