Parrot Watercolor Painting
Macaws are the king-sized members of the parrot species. These birds inherit the colors of the rainbow and are often been the symbols of lasting relationships as macaws pair bond and mate for life. They have become the most sought-after pets as they last up to 30 years in captivity and are ideally sociable. Their habitat has been under threat due to the demand of oil companies in recent years and being snatched to sell as pets all over the world. The macaws are beautiful, vivid, and have dynamic personalities.
While we admire their beauty, humans have forgotten their importance in the wild and these creatures will be soon extinct in the wild. The macaw’s feathers are in multiple layers, each layer boasts its own shade and size. This painting captures their beauty up close and will be a perfect addition to any space that needs a tropical vibe; a pop of color or bringing positive and fresh vibes to your environment. “Color helps to express light—not the physical phenomenon, but the only light that really exists, that is in the artist’s brain.”- Henri Matisse ‘HUES’ Series – Hue is an important attribute of color that determines how each pigment is different and unique from others of its kind.
Hue is a property that is dependent on its dominant strengths and intensity of tone. Every animal species boasts such uniqueness and similarity, the past two centuries homo sapiens have exploited their qualities because of which many of them may not make it into the next generation. This series of paintings seeks to inspire and remind us to appreciate the beauty and importance of each species. Each endangered animal painted throughout the collection is represented with its hues.
