Indian Fine Art Painting
Eternal wait – the tale of two devotees waiting is considered as the greatest virtue in Indian culture as it is also considered a form of meditation. Meditation is that state where humans realize the ultimate motive of existence and the ultimate nature of creation. This painting is a meditative art which narrates a beautiful life lesson by two of the ardent devotees of Shiva.
Nandi is the sacred bull and Shiva’s closest accomplice and essence of receptivity. He sits with full alertness and life without any expectation which itself is considered to be a natural meditative state. On the other hand Aghori sadhus are a monastic order and ardent devotees of Lord Shiva. They mostly live a nomadic life and practice solitary meditation. They wear orange attire as it symbolises fire in which they have burnt any worldly desires and are on path of salvation- the ultimate goal of life. This beautiful artwork has been done in oil painting.
