Abstract Acrylic Painting
This painting is a colorful addition to my collection depicting the colors of life and different phases a human has to go through in his entire life. Whether it’s a good or bad phase we have to strive hard to go through it. It is hard to imagine a life without color. The truth is we don’t all exactly know the colors that someone else sees. We all probably see colors a little differently, different shades, different tones, and hues. Color communicates so much. It has the power to convey moods and feelings like when people say, “He was green with envy,” “I’m feeling blue” or “She was red hot, she was so mad.” Color is used to organize life and bring order, like stop lights, or yellow versus white directional stripes on the road, or when some very organized people color code things, including everything from books to tupperware. Each color is important, yet insignificant by itself. Together, they create a body of life, of hope, joy, sorrow, disappointment, memory, love, anger, pain, warmth, comfort, belonging, awakening, creation, imagination, appreciation, introspection, belief, happiness and discovery.
Our pictures are unique, not like any other in the world. They tell our story, our thoughts, our feelings. Colors are a deep and mysterious language, the language of dreams. Like music, color is a language. Artists use color to express motifs and moods instead of using words to articulate them. I think we could say things with color and shapes that we couldn’t say any other way. Colors have the ability to evoke feeling and bring meaning to life’s experience. Life is like a rainbow of chaos. We live in a rainbow of chaos. Like how the world is disorderly, imperfect but it’s a colorful mess that’s something to still appreciate. So we now know life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs, sharp turns and unexpected moments. Things will not always work as planned, they don’t always go our way. There’s always a different thrill, scary but with so much promise and so rewarding. We should try to enjoy each and every moment of our life. On some mornings, we should enjoy looking at a beautiful butterfly. On some evenings, we should enjoy it by looking at the reddish hues of the sunset. We should enjoy that moment when we see a smile on the face of our children. We should enjoy these small events and should not lose a single moment of life. Life is too precious.
