Landscape Acrylic Painting
A hyper realistic landscape painting, using the technique of blocked in and glazing painted before adding on the details. The medium used is heavy body acrylics on a canvas board panel. This painting titled ‘Summertime Recluse’ is inspired from a photo reference of a tourist fort residence in the heart of Hunza Valley, Pakistan, where many tourists flock to meditate their physical and spiritual being in the midst of mystic. Hence, that is the reason for choosing the title of the painting, which describes the fort’s healing magnetism. The fort residence is at the footsteps of Altit Fort, an ancient palace built by the then ruling family of 11th Century. The surroundings provide colourful and scenic views of high, rugged mountains and tall trees all seasons around throughout the year! The combination of change of season’s rustic colours of autumn and the fertile colours of spring/summertime was what propelled me to paint my artist’s impression of the area onto the canvas and share the nature’s undefined beauty to the art lovers, hoping to create a sense of curiosity in their minds to go and visit the actual place!
