Flower Watercolor Painting
A poppy is a flowering plant in the subfamily Papaveroideae of the family Papaveraceae. Poppies are often grown for their colorful flowers. Following the trench warfare in the poppy fields of Flanders, Belgium during World War I, poppies have become a symbol of remembrance of soldiers who have died during wartime, especially in the UK, US, and Canada. This watercolor painting is a depiction of a war zone area, where there are wounded and fighting people. Though in this day and age war is something that can be completely called off – yet there still is war. This painting is in hope that someday we are all able to enjoy poppy flower fields as it is rather than seeing then as a sign of war. There are many other myths that tag along with poppy flowers and poppies are actually national flowers of many regions. This flower holds a lot of significance in the world symbolically. This painting is a watercolor painting and is laminated to prevent any external damage. The painting is an effort to put away the sorrows of war and to look forward to the beauty of natural life existence in all its glory. Hence the name “Red Field” is given to the Painting.
