Woman Mixed Media Painting
I am my own muse, I am the subject I know best. The subject I want to know better ! Everyone knows Frida Kalho. This is my rendition of her. Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter best known for her uncompromising and brilliantly colored self-portraits that deal with such themes as identity, the human body, and death. Frida used bright shades of red, green, yellow, orange and blue to create stunning paintings. Her use of color was envisioned to create emotional effects, gradual changes in both elements of value and contrast in order to show emphasis on narration—Kahlo uses all of these components to convey her state of mind throughout her life experiences. I too have tried to keep up with this trend in this painting. The technique used in this painting is of the resist. I love experimenting with different techniques & particularly loved this one, with all its challenges
